Hugo Broos will name his Bafana Bafana squad for the World Cup in the coming days.
The goalkeeper position is one of the most contested in the squad.
Ronwen Williams is expected to make the cut. Sipho Chaine was left out of the friendlies against Panama, Sekhukhune United’s Renaldo Leaner preferred in his place.
There is also Ricardo Goss.
However, Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze says Brandon Petersen deserves a call-up.
“I just wish to see Brandon Petersen going to the World Cup because he deserves it by the qualities and consistency he has shown throughout the season.”
Kaze also praised Petersen’s attitude in training.
“He trains every day with the same attitude and energy. Very good things happen to good people.”
